Pricing

Each client will require a package that is unique to their needs. Certain conditions require more counselling compared to others. If you are unsure, we can discuss which package may be right for you during my free 15-minute discovery call.

Many times dietitian services are covered – please check with your extended benefits provider.

Here are 3 things to ask your insurance provider:

  • Are you allowed to choose any dietitian/nutritionist or do you have to choose a specific dietitian from your provider network?s
  • What is the total amount you have per year and what is your year-end?s
  • Do you have a maximum allowance per days

Regardless, dietitians are considered a tax-deductible medical expense if they don’t end up being covered.

Unified Nutrition does not currently offer direct billing. However, receipts for insurance claims will be provided following each appointment.

We accept cash, debit, electronic transfers, MasterCard and VISA payments. We will provide printed or electronic receipts for patients to submit to their insurance companies for reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved just for you, it is your responsibility to book and keep your appointments. All services require a minimum of 24-hour notice to be cancelled with no penalty. Appointments that are cancelled within 24 hours or that are missed will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the appointment cost.

All services are non-refundable after the service is rendered. A 60-minute consultation is $140/consultation and a 30 minute consultation is $85/consultation.

Nutrition

In Alberta, there is no longer a difference between the two. The title β€œdietitian” is protected by law across Canada. This means only people who meet certain criteria and standards can call themselves a dietitian. β€œNutritionist” is also a protected title in Alberta and several other provinces. This means that only dietitians can call themselves nutritionists.

Yes! Being celiac myself, this is something I have struggled with as well. I know the ins and outs about being gluten free and have amazing gluten free food recommendations.
